In this IFS-informed Authentic Relating workshop, we'll provide an experiential overview of Internal Family Systems (IFS), which is a revolutionary way of looking at the mind - as consisting of parts, rather than being a single thing - and getting to know ourselves in a deep/authentic way. We'll then split up into rotating pairs for various IFS-informed Authentic Relating exercises. These exercises will enable us to deeply relate to each other in a parts-aware way - by speaking to each other about, from, and for our various parts, and allowing our parts to be truly heard and witnessed by another.
For those who want to deepen their experience, a microdose (in tea form) will be offered at the beginning of the workshop. Dani will provide the container for mindful consumption of the medicine. Note: This is optional. Those who don't wish to partake are equally welcome to join us!
---------------------------------------
Terry Baranski is an Internal Family Systems practitioner who works 1-on-1, and in groups, with people all over the world to address their mental health challenges. IFS is an approach to therapy and self-growth which offers a unique perspective on the mind - one that opens the door to self-compassion and self-understanding rather than judgment and shame. It's a wonderful technique to help us get in touch with our true selves, see the big picture, and get to know our minds in a more intimate way.
Dani Joy Meitiv is a scientist and health coach whose curiosity about improving mental health and overall well-being led her to explore the benefits of medicinal and magic mushrooms, which she enjoys cultivating herself. Combining her scientific background with a deep respect for this medicine, she helps clients with a range of mental health challenges and goals, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, cognitive decline, PTSD, and more, harnessing the healing properties of mushrooms to support and nurture the body, mind, and spirit through a holistic approach.
