IF YOU SEE ME YOU SEE ME is a collaborative dance experience created by Sasha Marie and Studio Sessions.

As a San Diego native, Sasha Marie has spent years traveling the world, playing alongside artists and DJs who bring distinct sonic perspectives to the dance floor. IF YOU SEE ME YOU SEE ME is a way of bringing those experiences home.

Each gathering introduces San Diego to DJs from across the world whose music moves beyond a single genre, scene, or sound. The intention is discovery: creating a dance floor where people can hear something unexpected, move freely, and experience the connection that happens when a room gives itself fully to the music.

This is not about standing around and being seen.

JAEL

Globally recognized as JAEL, Giovanni Jaël Jano is a Moluccan DJ, producer, vocalist, and recording artist from The Netherlands whose sound moves freely between Soul, Electronic Music, R&B, Jungle, House, and sounds from across the global diaspora.

Raised around Moluccan Folk, Gospel, and Soul, JAEL brings that musical foundation into genre-fluid sets built for movement and discovery. His performances often move beyond traditional DJing, weaving together his own productions, live vocals, instrumentation, and unexpected transitions into an experience that feels distinctly his own.

A longtime member of the influential Soulection collective, JAEL has performed around the world, including Boiler Room Festival in Amsterdam and London, Brooklyn Mirage in New York, O2 Brixton in London, Bass Coast Festival in Canada, and Lowlands Festival in The Netherlands. In 2023, Mixmag named him one of the 25 DJs Who Defined the Year.
