About this Event
Michael Jouaneh from Lutron Electronics will be giving a lecture on energy code for the first hour. The second hour will be open for questions and discussion. AIA credits will be provided.

Michael Jouaneh is a nationally recognized expert in sustainable building practices and energy-efficient lighting. He regularly presents at leading industry conferences such as LightFair International and LEDucation, offering thought leadership on energy codes, sustainable design, and advanced lighting technologies. At Lutron, Michael leads initiatives that shape the future of energy and green building standards in the U.S. He serves as Chair of the Electric Power, Lighting, and Renewables Subgroup for the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), Vice Chair of ASHRAE Standard 189.1 for High-Performance Green Buildings, and Chair of the Lighting Subcommittee for ASHRAE 90.2. His influence also extends to key organizations such as the California Energy Commission (CEC), the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), and the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES). Michael is a published author of technical articles, whitepapers, and case studies focused on sustainable building strategies. He is both a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) and a WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP), and serves as WELL Faculty. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado and an M.B.A. from Drexel University.
