About Jacinta Mainstone:
Jacinta’s first foray into the jewellery industry was a weekend silversmithing course when she was fourteen, followed closely by her first Christmas job at a small jewellery shop. Recognising her eagerness to learn, her managers would send her home with textbooks about diamonds and gemstones, and she would pore over them at home.
This early encouragement led Jacinta to a Bachelor of Fine Art majoring in Jewellery and Small Objects, followed by a Diploma in Gemmology and a Diploma in Diamond Technology. She is passionate about learning and teaching.
Jacinta is a full-time jewellery designer and also teaches at the Gemmological Association of Australia, Victoria Division. Her career and specialty subjects complement each other and create a comprehensive insight into gemmology's role in fine jewellery.
