Ideas in Action is the City’s Participatory Budgeting Initiative, where Bostonians can decide how to spend $2M of the City's budget.
About this Event

Ideas in Action is Boston’s Participatory Budgeting (PB) initiative, where residents can decide how to spend a part of the City’s budget. By engaging in Ideas in Action, Bostonians of all ages and backgrounds can:

  1. Share project ideas that help advance social and racial equity;
  2. Decide on the top projects that will appear on the PB Ballot for voting; and,
  3. Vote on how to spend $2 million of the City’s budget to benefit our communities.

As part of this process, residents inform the City about their priorities to help decide future budget investments. In partnership with Blue Star Families of New England, Dolce CAVS is hosting an in-person discussion for veterans/servicemembers who are residents of Boston. This is an effort to solicit ideas specificially from the veteran & military community. Blue Star Families will be providing food at the event for those who attend.
