IDEA Wine Movement Masterclass at NOMAD

We are delighted to invite you to the very first trade masterclass of the IDEA Wine Movement.

LVDO, Origines, and Pare wine will showcase wines from across the Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale, Murrumbateman, Orange, and Tumbarumba. The winemakers from each producer will showcase a mixture of new and previous releases alongside inspirational wines from around the world.

IDEA Wine Movement Mission

The IDEA movement is a collection of like-minded producers working towards the future of Australian fine wine. We promote and champion Australian Fine Wine, communicating a clear vision of where we see the future for both the trade and consumers. While no two producers are exactly alike, we all hold the following tenants to be true.

Identity – We believe wines should have a clear sense of identity that is consistent across vintages. This may come from the specific origin, such as vineyard or region, or be due to intrinsic winemaking choices. Regardless, the wine should speak of itself and consistently have characteristics that make it identifiable.

Devotion – We believe winemaking and viticulture is a craft. We are devoted to these crafts, which have no boundary. We strive, in our devotion to the craft, to expand our skills, knowledge, and capability with each vintage and each wine. We are constantly striving to be better.

Epicurean – We believe wine is an epicurean pursuit. Wine should be delicious, first and foremost. Wines should be made for real enjoyment; composed, refreshing, and texturally engaging. They should complement and not compete with the culinary arts.

Ambition – We are ambitious. We believe in the future of Australian wine as fine wine and we want to be part of that story. Australia is a place with unique landscapes, climates, and culture – we should be part of the global fine wine discourse.
