IDEA Grants: Fiscal Requirements and Strategic Oversight

This training is designed for business administrators, grant managers, and other LEA staff responsible for the fiscal oversight of IDEA funds. Participants will receive detailed guidance on key fiscal requirements, including how to accurately complete the Maintenance of Effort (MOE) Calculator, the Excess Cost Calculator, and monthly reporting in the Grants Management System (GMS). In addition to compliance, the session will emphasize strategic fiscal management. Topics will include fiscal milestones, such as where LEAs grants should stand by August and September and a review of other critical timelines to support effective planning throughout the grant cycle.
