As you may know in Winter of 2022, Iowa City hosted its first cohort in the Builders + Backers Idea Accelerator. Now we're back with a Summer 2022 cohort! This cohort of Builders were focused on ideas from harnessing the power of ocean waves for electricity (yes, ocean waves right here in Iowa!) to connecting local artists with local vendors - and many more. Over the summer, these ideas have been put into action and tested in the real world.Join Builders + Backers, program partner Heartland Forward, and local sponsors Iowa City Area Development and MidWestOne Bank to meet the Summer Iowa City Builders and learn more about their endeavors.
