Idaho Principals Network (IPN) Spring 2023

We are excited to have you participate in our Spring Institute, February 16th and 17th, led by Mike Siebersma and Pamela Vanhorn of Marzano Research.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE SPRING INSTITUTE

The IPN is a principals’ learning community combined with professional development where Idaho principals examine research-based leadership practices and collaborate with peers to apply them within the realities of daily life as a principal in an Idaho school.

The Institute is a non-traditional approach to leadership development. The skills and processes that we present are for practitioners in school-level and district-level leadership roles involved in implementing new programs, innovative ideas, or building leadership skills and strategies.

As a member of the IPN in the 2022-23 school year, you will be given the opportunity to attend 3 in-person institutes as well as participate in High Performance Team (HPT) calls with your colleagues.

Each institute will include practical content from presenters with ample opportunities to network with your peers to deepen learning, practice skills, and compare notes on your experiences in your schools. You will also join your peers for periodic High Performance Team (HPT) calls, in which you will have time with a smaller group to talk about application of your learning and engage your teammates in problem solving around real-world dilemmas brought by members.

The hotel room block is at the Hilton Garden Inn Boise Downtown. Please reserve your room early, rooms are limited. To reserve your room please call (208) 342-7000 and reserve your room under the Idaho State Department of Education room block prior to Wednesday, February 1, 2023 (5:00PM MST)!!! Please reserve the room under your own name and using your own form of payment to reserve. We will only be reimbursing hotel rooms of those attendees working in School Improvement designated school(s).

Please note that if you register and reserve a room, and you are not able to attend the conference, you will be responsible for reimbursement of your room and lunch if you have not given proper notice. Please make sure that you give the hotel, and Cassie Skinner, [email protected], at least 3 days notice before the institute if you are not able to make it.
