Iconic Magazine Collage

Welcome to the Iconic Magazine Collage at Shrewsbury Library! Join us for a fun-filled session full of creativity and artistry. Let your imagination run wild as you create your very own magazine collage masterpiece. This in-person event is the perfect opportunity to unwind, get creative, and meet fellow art enthusiasts. No experience necessary - just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to try something new.

Led by collage artist Caris Jackson who will encourage you to work imaginatively and inspire and guide you through compositon, considering narrative, use of colour and incorporating mixed media.

All materials will be provided; an A4 board, a wide selection of magazine and printed papers, glue, scissors and embellishments.

You are encouraged to bring your own image A4 size max (black & white or colour from a magazine or a photocopy) of someone significant to you.

You are also welcome to bring your favourite scissors and your own collage media.

Caris is a mixed media collage artist based in Shrewsbury. Her theatrical collages are created by re-purposing vintage prints and papers layered and embellished with recycled fabrics and items.
