About this Event
Emiliano Catan (Co-Director, Institute for Corporate Governance & Finance) will moderate a panel that will focus on the Corwin litigation and tackling questions such as the following: What makes Corwin an iconic decision? What were the key doctrinal innovations in Corwin? What is the impact of Corwin on M&A? How have later decisions reshaped the Corwin framework? The panel will include Hon. Andre Bouchard (Paul Weiss; Former Chancellor, Delaware Court of Chancery), who rendered the Chancery Court decision; Stuart Grant (formerly of Grant & Eisenhofer P.A.), who represented the plaintiffs; William Savitt (Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz), who represented the defendant board members and KKR Financial Holdings LLC, and Eileen Nugent (Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP), a seasoned M&A lawyer.
The program will be in D’Agostino Hall and a reception will follow.
This event has been approved to offer 1 New York State CLE credit in the category of Areas of Professional Practice. The credit is both transitional and non-transitional; it is appropriate for both experienced and newly appointed attorneys.
