About this Event

Welcome to the Ice Tie-Dye Party!

Come join us at 9015 186th St NE for a fun-filled evening of tie-dyeing with a twist! Instead of using liquid dyes, we'll be using vibrant fiber reactive dye powder over ice to create unique patterns on our fabrics. It's a cool way to get creative and make your own one-of-a-kind designs.

Whether you're a tie-dye beginner or a pro, you will enjoy access to over 45 colors at your disposal! One T-shirt is provided with your admission but you will have a 15 x 20 inch bin to fill with other items. You are encouraged to bring cotton items of your own or a few add-ons are available for extra charge.

It's a great way to meet new friends while making something special to take home.

Don't miss out on this icy adventure - mark your calendars and get ready to create some colorful masterpieces!

Children 10 and up are allowed with a ticket. 10-14 yr olds require adult supervision. We will be handling chemicals.

*Important note: The dyed project takes 24 hours to cure. You can either come back the next night (preferred because its the most fun!) and I will help you rinse it out or we can start the project in plastic bags and you can rinse it out at home the next day.

What does this class provide:

DAY 1

  • 1T-shirt in your preferred size (toddler to 3X)
  • Soda ash water for pre-soaking
  • Disposible gloves, masks if desired and disposable apron (but please still wear clothes that can be stained)
  • rubber bands/string for tying
  • 1 Bin and rack for your use
  • Ice to cover the fabric
  • 45+ procion reactive dyes to use

DAY 2 (optional)

  • Water on site to pre-rinse the project(s)
  • Color catcher sheets to take home for first wash

Samples of different folds and color swatches of the colors will also be available to help you decide how to proceed with your project.

NOTE: class requires a minimum of 4 participants. It also requires dry weather. I reserve the right to cancel the class (and reschedule if possible) if attendance is low or the weather is bad.
