Get ready for a scoop of summer fun during Ice Cream Week at Family Learning Lab! This playful themed week is packed with sweet science, colorful art, creative crafts, and hands-on projects inspired by everyone’s favorite frozen treat.
*NOT a drop off program.
Morning sessions are geared toward younger children and include open play in our sensory play area and LEGO zone, along with one guided activity such as Circle Time with Science, Sensory Seekers, or a Jr. Painted Art Project.
This week’s guided morning activities include Ice vs. Salt Sprinkles, where kids can explore how salt changes ice, Ice Cream Fluff sensory play made with a baking soda base, and Watercolor Drip Ice Cream Cones, a colorful art project inspired by melting treats.
Afternoon guided activities led by our Camp Guide include Pom Poms in Cones, DIY Ice Cream Squishies, and a DIY Cone Catcher Toy that children can build and take home. Campers can also enjoy hands-on science projects like Dancing Sprinkles, Sprinkle Ice Rescue, and Ice Cream in a Bag, where kids help create their own frozen treat while learning about temperature and change.
Creative artists will enjoy Puffy Paint Ice Cream Cones, Ice Cream Cone Painting on Canvas, and Balloon Print Tall Ice Cream Cone art projects full of bright summer colors.
All sessions are open to ages 4–12. Morning sessions are geared toward younger kids and feature open play with access to our sensory play area, LEGO wall, and exploration stations with a science activity and craft. Afternoon sessions include guided activities led by our Camp Guide, with sensory play and the LEGO area still open for children who prefer free exploration.
