An exciting and unique Icarian + Whip-pop Workshop is coming to Mannheim!
Kat #handstandsforthewin and Kiljan #experimovement, two of the most talented and precise acro teachers in Europe, have prepared an amazing weekend full of their best icarians and whip-pops. Intermediate/Advanced material (please check the prerequisites) awaits you. This is an exceptional opportunity to bring your icarian and whip-pop practice to the next level.
𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 / 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽?
− Quick review of the basics: cleaning up your tempos/straight throws and your whips will allow you to get your maximum height and accuracy. Challenging Icarians and whip-pops will become much easier afterwards.

− Big Throws: as a base you will use your whole body to throw and catch pops whereas the flyer will learn to rotate in all directions. Fun and adrenaline is guaranteed here. Expect the well-known Icarians and Whip-pops as well as some new creative tricks. They certainly know how to further spice it up ;)
- Well timed Whip-pops: it’s all about technique and timing to make those whip-pops fluffy and airy. You will figure out the details to work on more advanced whip-pops.
− Spotting skills: knowing how to spot properly all the tricks will give you a better understanding of the technique and it will make the practice completely safe for everyone involved.
𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀:
In order to get the best from this experience we expect from you to have some experience doing icarians and whip-pops and to feel comfortable flying/basing:
− Tempos/straight throws on front plank
− Tempos/straight throws on throne
− Icarian pop from throne to front plank
− Clean Tarzan Whip and some experience with the easier Whip-pops
You should also have previous experience in flying/basing and spotting Icarians.

Kiljan #experimovement: coming from athletics, mountain biking and rock climbing, I’m exclusively into teaching, performing and playing acro all over the world in the past years.
Achieving new skills lets us all feel empowered - I really love it to be part of the moment in which people surprise themselves accomplishing a new skill that seemed to be out of reach.
Kat #handstandsforthewin is a passionate handbalancer from Belgium that has a hard time choosing between handstands, standing acro, whip pops and icarian! She started gymnastics at the age of 6 in a small town club ‘De Greves’ in Hamme.
From the age of 15 til 27 she trained as an autodidact to roll into the circusworld 3 years ago, traveling- teaching – performing around the world.
