I, lady Macbeth

I, Lady Macbeth — a world woven from the finest lace: the lace of the subconscious, of instinct, of impulse, of uncontrollable female desire. Beauty and cruelty walk hand in hand, like lace against bare flesh.
Everyone climbs higher and higher, striving to reach the throne. And there, at the very top, gleams the blade that will K*ll the next king. It hurts to the marrow of the bones, but this is the “machine of power,” as the great Shakespeare scholar Jan Kott called it.
The throne stands empty. Up the stairs climbs the next king — the next sack of bones.
