About this Event
Join us for I KNEW THEN®: The Rhythm of Belonging, a community-centered West African drumming expereince designed to cultivate connection, reduce stress, and restore a sense of belonging.
Saturdays in April | 1pm - 2pm | $35 per session | Grae Wellness • 89th 5th Avenue Suite 802 • NY, NY 10003
Led by National Endowment of the Arts (NEA) National Heritage Fellow, Sidiki Conde, this immersive experience invites participants to explore the power of rhythm as a pathway to emtional wellness and cultural connection.
About the Experience:
Through live tradtional rhythms, guided reflection, and community participation, this experience blends culture, community, and emotional wellness.
Djembes will be provided, and no prior musical experience is required.
Participants will also have the option to complete brief voluntary pre- and post-session reflections designed to explore changes in connection, stress, loneliness, and sense of belonging.
Particpants may attend individual sessions or the full 4-week series, $35 each session.
