About this Event

Join Taylor & Co. Books, The Poetry Society of New York, & Poets House for a fundraiser sit-in in protest of genocidal regimes, marking the launch of the anthology I Feel Nothing Like Good: Poets Against Genocide.
Proceeds from both the anthology & the event will be donated to The Sameer Project, a mutual aid organization providing direct humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza, & the Sudanese American Physicians Association, a network of medical professionals working to support & strengthen the Sudanese healthcare community in the U.S. & beyond.

I Feel Nothing Like Good brings together over 50 poets from around the world responding to the ethical dissonance of living through ongoing violence, erasure, & state-sanctioned harm. Its title names a refusal to accept comfort built on suffering—a recognition that joy cannot be uncomplicated while genocide, displacement, & systemic oppression persist.

About our host organizations:

is a 501(c)3 artist-led nonprofit that creates fun, innovative poetry experiences. Our mission is to bring the transformative impact of poetry to those seeking a more creative life. We envision a world where poetry is not just celebrated, but vital and accessible to all: breaking down barriers, inspiring joy, and uplifting diverse voices. All donations to PSNY are tax-deductible!

is a black-owned, family run, community bookstore in the heart of Ditmas Park, Flatbush, Brooklyn NYC! We're here to serve and represent the diversity of the community we've spent 30+ years in. We aim to foster a space where all are welcome, where language in all forms can be expressed (safely), and where fun can be had. The best books meet us where we are and allow us to recognize that we are not alone in our joys and our suffering. At Taylor & Co. we hope you feel a little less alone in the human experience.

is a comfortable, accessible place for poetry—a library and meeting place which invites poets and the public to step into the living tradition of poetry. It seeks to document the wealth and diversity of modern poetry, to stimulate dialogue on issues of poetry in culture, and to cultivate a wider audience for the art.
