I Can Do 26.2 Kids Summer Running Series -For Kids Age 4-12(Abessinio Stad)

We believe in having fun while getting healthy! With this concept, “1 CAN DO 26.2 KIDS” running series was created. We want being active and practicing healthy habits to become a core foundation in our children’s lifestyle. Through non-competitive structured activities for children ages 4 - 12 we incorporate physical activity and nutritional literacy to empower our children and their families to be active and educated. We focus on allowing children to just come out, be active, and have fun. Our objective is grounded in fighting childhood obesity and promoting self-confidence.

“I can do 26.2,” is a six-week running program for children ages 4-12. The program teaches children that being healthy, active, and having fun go hand-in-hand. Through this running program, we help our children understand that with effort anything is achievable, including running a marathon, in six weeks.

Over six weeks, our children work with volunteer coaches to walk or run at their pace towards completing the distance of a marathon. Family and friends are invited to witness the children crossing the finish line as they celebrate their final miles towards their goal of 26.2 miles.

We celebrate our children's accomplishment each summer with a BIG FINISHER event where friends and families are in attendance to see their little ones cross the finish line, receive their medals and awards!

Event schedule:

Weekly - Mondays & Thursdays 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.(at Abessinio stadium).
