About this Event

Explore your own narrative with two of the most powerful words to be spoken, “I Am.” The basis of this program starts with the question laid out by Shanghai artist Mingdong Sun in his exhibition at The Sculpture Center, "How can we retell art history and culture through a queer lens?" In this workshop, Cleveland artist and Spiritual Guide, Gina Washington, invites you to explore your identity as an individual and member of the queer community. Plan to ground your energy and express your creative self. Group conversation will lead from there.

This program is funded by The Cleveland Foundation Equity in the Arts Fund, and held in partnership with the Broadway School of Music & the Arts, Mateza Gallery, the Cleveland Foundation, and The Sculpture Center.

Gina Washington is a photographer born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio.
