I AM HER: Women’s Empowerment Seminar

This two-part lecture focuses on two aspects of women's self-consciousness: hair and sensuality. This event will promote self-love and self-care while also aiding women in embracing their unique crowns and building confidence by embracing femininity and accepting their power inside. The goal of this event is to promote self-love and confidence by connecting with ourselves on the inside and out, allowing us to reclaim our power.

Part One: "Reclaiming Your Crown": Charka, Your Crown

A hands-on workshop that teaches and guides women on how to manage and care for coily and curly hair. Instructors will demonstrate twist outs, Flexi-rods, wash & go, and other hairstyles, as well as product recommendations.

Hear qualified professionals give a brief history of hair and its connection to spirituality, followed by a judgment-free Q&A session. The last segment of "Reclaiming Your Crown" will feature a live demonstration of a healthy hair care regimen for various curl types and textures.

Part 2: "Uncovering Your Power": The Root Chakra

This program is designed to help women become more confident, assertive, and powerful by unearthing and connecting to their inner strength. Before continuing on to our "MEDEM MOVEMENT Series," we'll start with a quick summary. Allowing us to ESCAPE our inhibitions and limitations by learning new moves to connect deeper to ourselves, starting at the base, our root chakra, allowing us to DISCOVER our inner freedom and feel at ease by allowing ourselves to be open, vulnerable, and liberated. We will let go of all our restraints and perform freestyle to feel truly EMPOWERED. A 15-minute warm-up/stretch precedes 45 minutes of Walk and Heel Movement Choreography instruction, followed by a Freestyle/Cool-down.
