The Asavei Temple Collective couldn't be more grateful to be welcoming back Høly River for a one-of-a-kind sunset spectacle in the pine and cedar Grove that we have steadily been preparing & transforming into a space dedicated to the spirits, ancestors, hiddenfolk, and Divinity. Høly River are nationally touring professional musicians, opening for bands like Rising Appalachia, plus people like Bernie Sanders. Being a regular act at large intentional festivals such as Floyd Yoga Jam, many consider them giants of the East Coast folk-indie scene, and they are surely steeples of the RVA music scene here!
Laney Sullivan & Jameson Price of Høly River are also the founders of EarthfolkCollective and have dedicated decades of service and work to Standing up for the Land, Water, & People in a good way; such as starting community gardens, fridges, food forests, affordable communal housing situations, as well as helping others around the city do the same! They have held many wonderful gatherings at Earthfolk Collectives property, among many other places, which have served to connect beings of all backgrounds in studying crucial indigenous traditional skills, conscious farming practices, and ways to interact with the Earth in a fashion that influences positive change in the world.
This powerful message & spirit that they carry in their arts, that they live as their lives, can be deeply & tangibly felt through each of the songs that they share in their concerts. You will surely be moved to dance, to laugh, to whoop and perhaps to weep as well.
