About this Event
THE FULL SIM. Race the whole thing.

Saturday, September 26th at Hyper Strength & Conditioning, San Jose Japantown.

Here's the deal: 8 kilometers of running. 8 stations. The full HYROX-style distance, start to finish, with your name and time going up on the board. That's it. That's the event.

And before you say "I've never done a full sim" — good. That's the point of doing one here first, with coaches on the floor, instead of finding out what 8k + 8 stations feels like under the lights in Anaheim. Been watching HYROX videos for a year without signing up for anything? Time's up. Already fit and want a real number next to your name before race season? We built you a lane.

What you're walking into:

Head-to-head waterfall starts. We launch 2 athletes (or 2 doubles teams) at a time, every 5 minutes. No mass-start chaos, no standing around for an hour waiting on your heat. The floor is stocked: rowers, SkiErgs, official HYROX sleds, and Torque Tanks. We planned the whole morning around one promise — you will not stand in line for a machine.

The Japantown Loop. The run course hits the pavement right outside the door. 1k per lap. You'll know every crack in that sidewalk by lap six.

The Stairway to Hell. One flight of stairs between the gym floor and the run. Sounds cute until lap four. (Speed-walk zone on the stairs, no passing. We like you alive.)

Coaches, not judges. Nobody's no-repping you out here. Our coaches work the floor all morning — pacing calls, transition help, station strategy in real time. You race, they coach, the board keeps the score.

The format:

8km run + 8 stations: Ski, Sled Push, Sled Pull, Burpee Broad Jumps, Row, Farmers Carry, Lunges, Wall Balls. Full distances, and fully scalable — nobody's getting buried out there.

Divisions:

SOLO — OPEN: standard weights, the whole thing is yours. You know who you are.

SOLO — SCALED: modified weights, smooth and adjustable on our Torque Tanks. First full sim? Start here. Zero shame, full leaderboard.

DOUBLES: grab a partner, split the station work, run every meter together. This is how most people race their first real event — practice it like you'll race it. Open and Scaled weights available.

How the morning runs:

Pick your division and time block at checkout. We'll email your exact launch time the Wednesday before, so you know exactly when to show up and exactly how long you have to get nervous.

  • 7:30 AM — Check-in opens
  • 7:50 AM — Athlete briefing (mandatory — 5 minutes, then we launch)
  • 8:00 AM — First solo launch
  • 10:30 AM — First doubles launch
  • ~12:45 PM — Last finisher, board photos, trash talk

Spectators welcome, free. Come watch your friend suffer. Cheer loud on the stairs — that's where they'll need you.
