Save the date for HYPE's Tons of Toys! While the event this year will look a lot different, our goal is still the same - to collect as many toys to support our beneficiary, YMCA of Greater Hartford, to help make the holidays merry & bright for local youth and families.Tons of Toys donation drop off will span three days this year, Tuesday, December 7th - Thursday December 9th with toy donation drop off opportunities and a special Holly Jolly Mingle in partnership with Winterfair at the Pop-Up Bar at 88 Pratt Street hosted by Hanging Hills Brewery.
Most requested toys include sports equipment, arts & crafts, board games & puzzles, LEGO sets, Barbies, Marvel action figures, Star Wars toys, LOL Surprise Dolls, and gift cards for teens.
We ask that toys be valued at $10 (or more!).
Drop-off Donation times only are:
Tuesday, December 7th: 11:00am to 1:00pm at 55 Pratt Street.
Wednesday, December 8th: 11:00am to 1:00pm at 55 Pratt Street.
Holly Jolly Mingle:
Thursday, December 9th: 4:30pm to 7:00pm | Pop-Up Biergarten at 88 Pratt Street | Admission to the event is a toy valued at or around $10-$20.
Safety protocols will be in place to ensure a safe experience for staff, volunteers, and those making generous donations.
Can’t get to the store? Not comfortable donating in person? Our friends at Amato’s Toy & Hobby are here to help! Simply call the store at (860) 229-9069 and tell them you’d like to purchase a toy to be donated to HYPE’s Tons of Toys! They will ask you the value of the toy(s) you’d like to purchase with a value starting at $10, take payment over the phone, and set aside a toy of that value for donation!
HYPE staff will pick up all donations the morning of Thursday, December 9th, so all call in donations must be made before 6PM on the 8th.
Last year through combined efforts from our sponsors and generous donations from HYPE members we collected 2,170 toys and made for a truly special holiday season for so many Hartford youth.
