You will also take home your own hydroponic system kit based on NASA's Vegetable Production System (https://science.nasa.gov/mission/veggie/). ​About the Instructor
This workshop is taught by Anthony Neil Tan, an AgTech professional and graduate from UC Berkeley in Bioengineering. He is currently an independent research scientist and his projects center on optimizing the cultivation of high-value plants via various horticultural methods (including hydroponics!). His portfolio ranges from designing a plant growth chamber that won a national NASA contest to teaching hydroponic gardening workshops for Student Makers, a non-profit that provides hands-on STEM education for high school students across the United States.
