Hyde Park Eid Prayer & Celebration

Eid Mubarak! We invite you, your family, and friends to join the Hyde Park community for the Eid prayer and celebration this year!

When: Friday 03/20 Based on local moonsighting (chicagohilal.org) an email will be sent to all registered individuals on Thursday evening. In the off chance the moon is not sighted, prayer will be held in the same location and at the same time, but on Saturday, 3/21.

Location: Southside YMCA , 6330 South Stony Island Avenue, Chicago

Time:

• Eid Glorifications (takbirat)- 9:15-9:45 AM
• Eid Prayer & Sermon - 9:45 AM
• Celebratory activities such as light food, bouncy houses, children's activities, face painting, and more will follow the prayer/sermon, onsite.

Partnering Organizations: This is a joint effort coordinated by Sirat Chicago, Ta'leef, Muslim Inclusion Group at U of C, U of C MSA, River Garden, Mozaic & Alif Schoolhouse.

Notes:

1 . Pay Zakat Al Fitr beforehand, no collections of Zakat will be available (Zakat Foundation "Fitrah - $10").

2 . Bring your own prayer rugs for added comfort.

3 . Parking Info- We encourage car pooling.

• Parking available in the two large YMCA parking lots, but limited.
• Ample free street parking available on 63rd street.
