She writes and lives in Los Angeles, with her husband, son, and two cats. One & Only is her adult debut.

Laura Hankin is the author of One-Star Romance, Happy & You Know It, A Special Place for Women, and The Daydreams. Her original screenplay, Don't Say Good Luck, starring Sunny Sandler and Melanie Lynskey, will premiere on Netflix in 2026. She lives in Washington, DC, where she once fell off a treadmill twice in one day.
