Synopsis

This panel examines how evolving AI regulation intersects with privacy, inclusion and societal impact, highlighting risks and responsibilities that increasingly influence organisational decisions. It explores employee data use, harms affecting children and older adults, and accountability in public services. The session supports those guiding organisations through complex change, offering insights needed to interpret regulatory shifts, anticipate social consequences and embed responsible, people-centred approaches into AI-related work.

Who should attend

  • Professionals involved in advising or supporting organisations on technology, risk, policy or transformation
  • Individuals working with AI adoption, governance, data protection or digital-ethics matters
  • Those engaged in shaping organisational responses to regulatory and societal change
  • Practitioners interested in privacy, inclusion, public-sector accountability or the wider social impact of AI
  • Anyone seeking a deeper understanding of how AI affects people, rights and organisational responsibility.

Key themes

  • Privacy in the workplace: balancing AI-driven productivity with employees’ rights to data protection.
  • Digital safety: ensuring children and elderly safety when using Al-powered systems.
  • Public-sector accountability: transparent AI deployment in public services, with safeguards against bias and exclusion.
  • Responsible AI governance: grounding innovation in ethical, inclusive, and human-centred design.
