On Sunday September 15, 2024, the city of Des Moines will host the Greater DSM Hy-Vee Half Marathon Series event with a new co-ed format for the 2024 racing season. Each event will offer a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and our popular KidsFit One Mile fun run for our youngest competitors. Starting and finishing just steps from the Polk County Courthouse on Court Avenue in the heart of downtown Des Moines, Iowa!
Returning for 2024: Each Half Marathon, 10K 5K produced by Premier Event Management in conjunction with Hy-Vee will again offer an exciting youth event in each market. The Hy-Vee KidsFit One Mile Fun Run will start and finish from our main finish line structure making the KidsFit event something extra special on race morning. Children from ages 5 to 15 are encouraged to join mom and a few dads on race morning to begin a life-long lifestyle change at the Hy-Vee KidsFit One Mile Fun Run!
