Three cram-packed days and two nights of connecting with your primitive self! Stay at Wild Harvest Tipis in York for our Huntress Gatheress Experience. Weave a small foraging basket, go on wild food walks, shoot Arrows, live by fire, have a go at preparing game/ rabbit, learn how to navigate using natures signs and practice the art of net-making and leather pouch making or raw fleece weaving .. see below for full details...

Wake Up in an Off-Grid Tipi...
Grab your bow and arrows and each morning start the day with a few rounds of instinctive archery using 3D animal targets for a real-life feel.
Next, wander the waterways and woodlands near your tipis to gather food for your communal meal cooked over fire.
The afternoons are spent trying skills such as net making, fire-lighting, basket weaving, game prep - **all communally, on joint projects around the fire.**
Take a nap in the sun, or go for a wild swim then return for conversational lessons around the fire, about Natural Navigation and living off-grid.
Go home 'centred', with a new feeling of capability knowing you have new skills to see you through most survival situations.
Be fed by Dena of Probiotic Love for two days.
Huntress
- Three lessons in instinctive archery
- Have a go at net making
- Game Prep Practice - Pluck a Pheasant and Skin a Rabbit, then gut.
- Fire Lighting session - have a go with various methods using natural materials.
Gatheress
- Two Comprehensive foraging walks, one each morning to collect produce for lunch.
- Learn essential processes for avoiding identification errors.
- Learn to weave a small foraging basket
Navigator
- Learn how to orientate yourself by looking at trees, flowers, puddles, animals, the sun and moon.
Maker
Connect with your Tribe around the fire to have a go at shared projects that will be left out for the duration for all to try.
Net making
Basketry
Leather for pouches.

Site Manager and tutor at Wild Harvest School Julie enjoys textile crafts and will lead you for the Raw Fleece Rug Making and will likely throw in our herbal healing balm making session for you over the fire, together with helping you with the basket weaving and foraging.

Highly skilled ex military survival skills instructor, will be here for a fire lighting session and general to answer any questions on outdoor survival!
Fed by Dena Smiles of Probiotic Love
Dena has been a nutrition and health food guru for as long as I have known her. The creativity and colour in her meals is awesome, she makes meals that nourish you while also being super tasty and original. Dena will prepare two two course meals each day for you and may add some snacks too. She understands about wild food and often can be seen wandering the tipi site for additions to your meals. She is up to date with all the food hygiene certifications and just lovely to have around on a female empowerment retreat!

Join the Tribe and Get...
Two Nights Tipi Accommodation (Shared same sex, with one or two other women). You can bring your own tent if preferred. Stay the Sunday night for free, if needed, to make your journey home easier.

Three x Two Course luxury healthy meals prepared by our retreat chef.
Use of the facilities of the tipi site (kitchenette, shower, loo, fire circle)
All site consumables included: logs, washing up stuff, shower gel, candles, loo roll.
Materials for any of the activities provided. Please note these are shared activities - you won't get one each of the items; there isn't the time.
