Hunter Root has been one of Pennsylvania’s best kept secrets for some time. The Fayetteville born, Lancaster-raised artist’s unique alchemy of acoustic rock, folk, country, and grunge with a 6’s psychedelic and surf rock flair broke through in a big way when “Town Rat Heathen” was released at the top of 2023. The lead single off Hunter’s independently released Arkansas (2023) went organically viral, amassing over 3 million plays on Spotify and exposing Hunter and his music to a national and global audience that was waiting for him all along.
