Velveteen was built as a cask ale; perfect for hand pump (aka the “Beer Engine"). The softer carbonation and slightly warmer temperature bring out subtle layered malt flavors: toast, toffee, cocoa and a touch of roast. And that beautiful creamy foam is a textural treat.So we’re bringing it back, but with an additional twist: Vanilla. We had a few extra vanilla beans from a recent beer experiment and decided to toss them into a cask of Velveteen. And….yeah…you’re gonna wanna try this. It will go *very* quickly, I promise that.
Plus - we’ll be having special Britishy celebration today with Beer-Battered Fish & Chips from JD’s Food Truck and a visit from our friends Chris & Kyle from Dead Language Beer Project who helped create Velveteen with us!
