If you love Hummingbirds, then this is the talk for you. Come learn about these tiny but magnificent birds. Our guest speaker will be Tanner Shepard. Tanner will discuss hummingbird diversity, their biology, migration patterns, breeding and nesting behavior, and food preferences. The talk will also cover how you can help attract these birds to your own yard.
Bio:
Tanner Shepard became interested in birding at the age of 11. He is a passionate birder and has led bird walks at multiple birding-related events. He has a B.S. in Biology from Morehead State University and an M.S. in Wildlife Ecology from Texas State University. He has also been an employee at Wild Birds Unlimited in Frankfort since it opened in March of 2016, and has continued to work here while not in school.
