About this Event
An echo is a sound that lingers after the original voice has faded. It is a trace, a reflection, a reminder that something was once present.
In interior design, spaces hold echoes. The walls, the materials, the light, and the spacing we design are never empty. They carry stories of movement, emotion, memory, and human experience. Every corridor remembers footsteps. Every room holds conversations. Every surface reflects the way people inhabit and interact with it.
In this thesis show, Echo represents the idea that the spaces we create do not exist only in the present moment. They respond to the past, shape the present, and influence the experiences that follow. The echoes of our designs are found in how people feel within them, how they move through them, and how they remember them.
These echoes are not only formed by the users of the space, but by us as designers. Our own stories, experiences, memories, and perspectives shape the spaces we create. What we have lived through influences how we design, what we prioritize, and the emotions we aim to evoke.
These projects explore how thoughtful design can create spaces that resonate, spaces where the stories of users, materials, environments, and designers are heard, felt, and carried forward.
Because in the end, design is never silent.
It echoes.
