Hey book lovers! Following our wonderful Meet & Greet at Leni Poki, it’s time to officially dive into our first big discussion. For our second gathering, we are exploring the powerful, haunting, and beautifully written world of Markus Zusak's modern classic, The Book Thief. Set against the backdrop of WWII Germany and uniquely narrated by Death, this story is bound to give us endless things to talk about from the power of words and chosen family to the sheer resilience of the human spirit. Whether you are re-reading an old favorite or experiencing Liesel's story for the very first time, we can't wait to hear your perspective!
What to Bring:
- Your copy of The Book Thief (heavily bookmarked pages, favorite quotes, and sticky notes are highly encouraged!)
- Pls do buy a beverage or snack from our host venue to support the local spot keeping us cozy
- An open mind and your love for deep, meaningful character discussions
