About this Event
Human vs AI Intelligence & Cyber Risk
As the lines between human intelligence and artificial intelligence blur, our digital landscape faces increasing threats from sophisticated cyber attacks. Human vs AI Intelligence & Cyber Risk brings together experts and professionals to explore the evolving risks posed by cybercriminals and AI technologies, offering practical insights to safeguard your business.
Workshop 1: Under Siege – How a Hacker Can Break Into Your Organisation in 5 Minutes
Speaker: Ryan Bradbury, CTO at CyberLab
Cyber attacks are no longer a distant threat—half of businesses and a third of charities have reported breaches in the last year. Led by Ryan Bradbury, CTO of CyberLab, this session provides a live, step-by-step simulation of a cyber attack. With support from CREST, CHECK, and Cyber Scheme-approved engineers, Ryan will show how malicious actors can exploit common vulnerabilities within minutes. Learn about the most prevalent attack strategies and discover best practices to fortify your organisation’s defences and protect it's data.
Workshop 2: Defining & Measuring Cyber Risk
Speaker: Anna Dyson, Lancaster University
In this session, we'll explore how to define cyber risks and assess the impact of potential threats. We’ll introduce tools to help you critically evaluate vulnerabilities and estimate potential financial losses. You'll also dive into the traditional and updated causal chains of attack motivation and receive an introduction to the Cyber Threat & Risk Developer program - a comprehensive framework designed to empower business teams to identify and measure cyber risks.
Workshop 3: Bot or Not – Can You Spot the Difference?
Presented by researchers from Lancaster University
Can you distinguish between a human voice and an AI-generated one? In this interactive workshop, researchers from Lancaster University will share the latest advances in Forensic Linguistics and Speech Science. Work alongside current PhD students as you test your ability to detect AI-spoofed content. Join the challenge and sharpen your skills in spotting fraudulent AI-generated voices.
This event offers a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of both AI’s potential and the cyber risks it poses, as well as practical insights to protect your business and data. Don’t miss this chance to engage with industry leaders, researchers, and cybersecurity experts!
