About this Event

This in-person event is open to all, but there is a specific emphasis on outreach to the Deaf community and those closely connected to the Deaf community. Interpretors will be onsite and closed captions will be provided.

The program includes a panel discussion with experts from The Maryland Governor’s Office for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, TurnAround, Inc., and a Survivor Leader representative. Various organizations and agencies that support survivors of human trafficking and the Deaf community will host informational tables.

Attendees will have an hour to network and engage with community members, followed by a Human Trafficking 101 Presentation. After the presentation, there will be an open Town Hall session for attendees to ask questions, provide feedback and share their perspectives. Panel members will be available to answer questions on relevant topics. Questions may be submitted in advance to [email protected].

Lite snacks and beverages will be provided. Free, but advance registration is requested.
