About this Event

Decode Your Human Mobility Code!

From industry, administration, and professional to culturally curious citizens — everyone’s invited! Hear the multimodal mobility professional launch his new book series, how smart data reveals pattern of people’s movement, experience artistic interventions in public space, and dive into vibrant, moderated debates on how mobility and public space can reinvent our city!

We will bring together four complementary perspectives:

  1. Human Mobility Code - Building A New Mobility Ecosystem: Insights from author’s work as multimodal mobility professional, his research and development new concepts from his experiences from City of Toronto and Oshawa and creative and innovative work for cities across North America and East Asia, challenging traditional city building and proposing new frameworks for people-first mobility ecosystem.
  2. Data-driven mobility behaviours: Research from motiontag revealing how jet setters, cyclists, train riders, and everyday commuters navigate urban environments, and how these behaviours are shaped by the world around us.
  3. Community-led social space transformation: Rahel Savoldelli shares insights from Parkcafé Rehberge, a Berlin neighbourhood initiative that recently received a city grant to redesign its social space. Her perspective highlights how residents can reclaim, shape, and activate public spaces they truly want, offering a powerful model for community-driven urban change.
  4. Artistic expressions to reimagine urban public spaces: how might we envision our public spaces beyond the logic of consumerism? A choreographer proposes a reimagining of a transit-priority corridor in downtown Toronto. Captured through a short documentary film, the performative work invites city-makers and citizens alike to imagine alternative ways of inhabiting and connecting with their city's public spaces.

Three hours.

Four perspectives.

One powerful idea: cities mobility ecosystem can be built differently.
