The highlight of our calender is back! Are you ready to test yourself in 5 gruelling events against a field of strong athletes to see who emerges victorious and gets crowned Hull's Strongest!?! The competition will be expanding this year, we are including a Masters category for Men and Women and with the introduction of Ladies Inters to our March comp the Inters category will change to U80kg. Novice Men and Women will remain on the Saturday, and U105, Open Men, U80s, Open Women and Masters on the Sunday.
As always full event details and videos will be released in the upcoming weeks to give you a taste of what to expect.

Reserve lists will run for each category as required.
Registration at 9AM both days with athlete brief at 9.30AM and first event start at 10:00AM. U105 and U80 can weigh in on the Friday (arrange with Ben) and from 8AM Saturday .
No previous podium places in a prior Hulls Novice competition to enter Novice category.
The events will run as:- (all weights and events subject to change)
Event 1 - Deadlift for reps - 75sec time limit.
Max reps Conventional deadlift, calibrated plates on a Cerberus Deadlift bar. Athletes start with hands off the bar, when whistle is blown then strap in and begin lifting. Suits and briefs allowed. Normal lifting straps and fig 8's allowed.
Novice Women - 105kg

U105 Men - 250kg

Masters 50+ - 230kg
U80s Women - 125kg

Masters 40+ - 140kg
Event 2 - Overhead Medley - Max time 75secs. 5 implements to be lifted in order. Fastest time to complete all implements, split times on successful lifts. Elbow Sleeves, wrist wraps and grip shirts allowed. Circus DB/Log/Monster DB/Natural Stone/Log Bell

Event 3 - Car Squat - Max time 60s - Athletes will start from the bottom position and a successful rep will be given upon standing up hips locked. Bar height will be adjusted for each athlete to allow a full "bottom" position to be achieved. Knee sleeves and wraps allowed, no suits or briefs. Grip Shirts allowed.

Event 4 - Car Walk/Yoke Walk - 15m fastest time max time 60s. Car for men, Yoke for ladies. Grip shirts allowed. Wheels WILL be locked on car.

Event 5 - Atlas Stone load.
We are rewinding the clock and going old school. 5 Stones of ascending weight set back from 5 barrels gradually getting closer to the barrels to be loaded. No tacky or grip sleeves, chalk only. Grip shirts are allowed. Barrel height of 1m. Max Event time 75s
