Get ready for an afternoon of Hawaiian dance, music, and cultural exchange at the Garden!
About this Event

Join us for a special Hula workshop and performance presented by Ka Pā Hula O Laʻakea in collaboration with Dancers Unlimited, a bi-coastal 501(c)(3) arts organization based in New York City and Hawaiʻi.

Participants in the workshop will learn a traditional Hula dance and create their own lei and kīhei while exploring the cultural traditions and storytelling at the heart of Hula. The day will conclude with a live performance on the Terrace.

Schedule: 
• Hula Workshop — 11 am –1 pm 
Located in the Visitor & Administration Building

• Performance — 2 – 3 pm
Located on the Terrace

These events kick off Dancers Unlimited’s Spring Community Week, taking place May 31–June 7, featuring workshops, discussions, and performances celebrating community, movement, and cross-cultural connection. Learn more and get involved at Dancers Unlimited.

By public transportation, take the number 7 subway line to Main Street, the Long Island Rail Road (Port Washington line) to Main Street/Flushing, or the Q44-SBS or Q20 bus.
