The performance art project Huggable Loveable Uterus debuts at Pittsburgh's No Kings Rally on October 17, ahead of the midterm election, combining street performance and protest. The performance features the May Day Marching Band, Hilt and Helm Pittsburgh Fencing Club demonstrating the Shield Act legislation, and performers wearing body-sized uterus costumes to create a playful visual identity. Specially designed uterus whistles are distributed to both professional and first-time whistlers for a whistle brigade. With music and dance, the protest advocates for people to learn how their elected representatives can support legislation that advances reproductive health research.
