Join us for the first Huer to Harbour Pilchard Run with Trenance Learning Acaemdy. A fun family day starting at the Huers Hut and ending down in Newquay Harbour. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun afterwards so head on down to the harbour and get involved.Tickets are required to take part in the fun run and each runner will recieve a T-shirt to remember the day. The events in the harbour are free to attend and all are welcome.
Learn more about the history and cultural significance of these 2 iconic locations. Dressing up as a pilcahrd is not compulsary but is strongly encouraged! Just picture the shimmering convoy along the picturesque mile long route. Run, walk or shimmy your way down tp the harbour for a family fun day and help raise money for some great causes at the same time.
The event will begin at the Huer’s Hut at 10am (King Edward Crescent) and participants will be able to run or walk from there through Newquay town centre, onto Towan Beach and then in through the mouth of Newquay Harbour.
All fun run participants will recieve an event t-shirt. All proceeds from the event will be shared between the Trenance PTA and Trenance's 4 House Team charities.
