Hailing from Olathe KS, USA, cata grew up listening to a wide variety of electronic genres from a young age. During Jr High he ended up with his first vinyl turntable playing UK hardcore records at school talent shows. From here cata's tastes expanded into drum and bass, house, techno, uk garage, footwork and many other genres. His main musical projects have been the Dionysian Tapes record label which saw 12 releases from 2014-2017 as well as the Phaseshift party and mix series which has put on events across multiple countries.
For cata the art of DJing is about putting passion behind the search for new music and constantly finding interesting and innovative ways to bring tracks together to make something new. As DJ technology advances from vinyl turntables to CDJ's and controllers, cata sees the art of DJing as an ever-evolving artform and is extremely excited to see what the future holds.
