Join us IN-PERSON in our DALLAS office as we dive-deep into Contracting! We will discuss Procurement and how to become HUB certified for the State of TX HUB Program!
This will be a working session in our DALLAS office. Please bring your charged laptops or tablet device.
Here is what we will cover:
Are You Procurement Ready?
We will discuss what Procurement is. How do you get Procurement ready? This includes going over common Procurement terminologies, and basic terms and concepts in a contract, overview of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and understanding what it means to be Procurement Ready.

- Gain a comprehensive understanding of procurement and its significance.
- Identify the steps involved in preparing for procurement activities.
- Familiarize with common procurement terminologies and concepts.
- Understand the fundamentals of contracts and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

State Registration and Certification
This session we will discuss the State of Texas Historically Underutilized Business Program (HUB), in what manner to identify your National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP codes) and Highway District, the importance of registering on the Centralized Masters Bidders List (CMBL), and finally, understanding who qualifies for the HUB Certification, document requirements, and the application process.
Understanding the State of Texas HUB Program:
Gain insight into the State of Texas Historically Underutilized Business Program (HUB), including its objectives, benefits, and significance for minority and women-owned businesses.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the eligibility criteria and requirements for HUB certification, as well as the potential advantages of certification for business procurement opportunities.
Identification of NIGP Codes and Highway District:
Learn how to effectively identify and utilize National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) codes and Highway District classifications relevant to your business offerings and services.
