Workshop to discuss some of the key issues around the design and delivery of online programmes.
About this Event

Online programmes offer an exciting way of reaching a wider, more diverse and international audience, and they are becoming ever more important as we plan for the future, especially at postgraduate level. But how do they work and what does it involve to run a programme online in conjunction with or without the University’s partnership with Kaplan Online Learning (KOL)? This workshop is designed to provide an overview of some key issues around the design and delivery of online programmes. Contributors will include Lynn Evans, the University’s Strategic Director of Online Learning, and there will also be the opportunity to hear from online programme and distance learning leads in HSS about their experiences of delivering online and blended modules and programmes. Topics will include an overview of the University’s partnership with Kaplan, the online learning environment, and there will be a chance to discuss considerations arising when operating in and outside KOL. Participants are invited to bring with them for further discussion any plans, ideas and market intelligence for online or blended programmes.

The workshop will take place in a hybrid format, on campus in SR11 Rendall Building and online.
