About this Event
Bundle up and join HRRP for a fun and informative winter walk along the Hutchinson River in New Rochelle. This moderately challenging walk is a great way for folks to get outside while learning about the history and natural environment of the river. Along the way, we’ll explore the ruins of an old railroad, talk about how New Rochelle once got its drinking water, and take time to notice the wildlife and winter scenery that make this area special. It’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, connect with your community, and spend a refreshing day learning and exploring.
There will be an invasive species removal and trash cleanup connected to this walk on January 24th. Registration is at hutchinsonriver.org and Eventbrite.
~Street parking is available.
~0045 & 0030 and a few other buses stop within a 5-10 minute walk to the location.
