HRRPs RiverWalk for World Environment Day

HRRP will be hosting our first River Walk on the Hutchinson River in celebration of World Environment Day. Join us for a unique opportunity to walk through the river and experience firsthand how this urban waterway remains connected to nature while also being impacted by nearby roadways, litter, and other environmental pressures.

Participants will have the chance to explore sections of the river up close, observe local wildlife and plant life, and learn more about the challenges facing the Hutchinson River ecosystem and the work being done to restore and protect it.

Waders are required for this event. Please email us with your shoe and wader size ahead of time so we can make sure equipment is available for you.

What to Bring:

Long-sleeve shirt & Jacket

~Street parking is available.

~55 & 42 and a few other buses stop within a 5-10 minute walk to the location.

~We will provide gloves, grabbers, trash bags, and anything else required for invasive removal and trash collection as well as water and a light snack.

~Please purchase a ticket for everyone in your group so we have an accurate headcount.
