... this is the light of autumn - Stefanie Lubkowski
String Quartet No. 2 (excerpt) - Curtis Hughes
I am better now, out of my head - Olivia Katz
Semiosis Quartet is:

Amelia Hollander Ames, viola
Olivia Katz, cello
Special Guest:
Brian Church, voice
Join Semiosis Quartet and special guest Brian Church for a presentation of the late Lee Hyla’s monumental work Howl for Narrator and String Quartet alongside complete and excerpted works by two of Hyla’s students from his time at New England Conservatory, Stefanie Lubkowski and Curtis Hughes along with music and poetry composed and selected by the quartet members.
This program offers deep dives into sonic landscapes that can enrich and occasionally challenge our perceptions of time, a critique of post-war American society that is as applicable now as ever, and a connection to the city of Cambridge, the home of both Lubkowski and Hughes.
