Free writing workshop and grief circle centering Black women grieving mother-figures in anticipation of Mother's Day. All are welcome.
About this Event

Join Ibura Ayele, author of on April 28th at The Noir Bookshop for a free writing workshop and grief circle focused on processing the difficult emotions that come up for those missing their mothers on Mother's Day.

Ibura will read poetry from her book Wildflower and then guide participants through writing prompts for reflecting on their relationships with grief. Participants hold space for one another and share strategies for getting through this time of year. The space will center Black women, but all those experiencing grief are welcome. 

Please register to attend. Bring your journal, writing utensils, laptop, or whatever you'd like to write with.
