HOW TO Use Your Sewing Machine Workshop
About this Event

This hands-on workshop is for beginners and those who haven't used their machine in a while. It will guide you through setting up and help show you how to get the most from your sewing machine.
Each session will be split into 1-hour slots. Each participant will receive an hour of 1:1 tuition.
Time Slots 10 to 11, 11 to 12, 12 to 1
In your 1-hour slot, you’ll focus on:
Winding the bobbin and threading your machine
Understanding the various functions and stitches of your sewing machine
Simple problem solving
Our volunteer tutors will help answer any specific questions and resolve issues you have with your machine.
As this workshop is primarily intended to help you get the most out of your own machine, sewing machines do vary, it is best to learn on your own machine.
Don’t forget to bring your own machine; the manual for your machine would be helpful too!
If you don’t have the manual for your sewing machine, please try to Google the model name and print a copy to bring with you to the workshop. Just make sure it’s not in Chinese—unless you’re able to read it! 😊
If you don't have your own sewing machine we have a limited number that you can borrow (please select Borrow A Sewing Machine at checkout).
Please note that this is an adult-only event and we are asking for a suggested donation of £10 or £5 for students and low-wage. Your session will typically last for one hour. We may contact you to arrive at a specific time depending on numbers.
