Join William Kiesel for a series of engaging talks on books and book

culture surrounding the wisdom traditions housed in the PRS Library.

Books are vessels of coagulated thought, distilled and filtered through

the minds of authors, artists and adepts. Understanding the technology

of the book and the laboratory of the library grants the seeker access

to the esoteric secrets that can aid them on their journey of discovery.

Presented in the peaceful environs of the PRS Library, William uses some

of the bibilographic treasures of the library to illustrate

multi-disciplined topics aimed at bringing deeper awareness into these

important literary tools which have preserved the ageless wisdom for

centuries.

Any esoteric study can appear to be an overwhelming prospect given the

many disciplines and paths offered by those who came before us.

Libraries offer many avenues of assistance in orienting the seeker on

their journey. In this library talk, William engages us with practical

tips for research for those looking for insight into where to begin or

those already embracing a particular esoteric practice. Libraries and

the resources they house are an invaluable aid to us and this talk will

offer insights into bringing those resources to our finger tips. How to

understand what to look for and find what you are looking for can

transform the experience of your visit to the library and augment any

esoteric interest or experience you are seeking.

About William Kiesel

William Kiesel has walked the path of esotericism for over 30 years. His

practical experience and historical knowledge of occult literature and

culture draws from such diverse disciplines as Hermeticism,

Neoplatonism, Qabalah, Thelema, Alchemy, Rosicrucianism, Theosophy, and

Ceremonial Magic. With his decades as an antiquarian bookseller, his

training in letterpress printing and bookbinding, Kiesel brings his love

of books and scholarship together as publisher at Ouroboros Press. He is

also faculty at 22 Teachings School of Hermetic Science and Magical

PARKING

Limited parking is available onsite at PRS in both the front lot (entry from Los Feliz Blvd. when heading east) and back lot (entry from first alley way, off Griffith Park Blvd. from intersection with Los Feliz Blvd.), as well as street parking on Griffith Park Blvd. and on Los Feliz Blvd after 7pm. We encourage attendees to consider carpooling, walking or biking to events if possible, and please be considerate of our Los Feliz neighbors when parking.

PRS EVENT POLICIES

• We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
• Events are subject to change without notice, including guest speakers and/or performers.
• We encourage you to arrive at least 30 min. before the scheduled event start time to find parking, enjoy the Bookstore and take your seats.
• Please turn off all mobile devices before the show. Talking and texting are not allowed during the events.
• No filming, audio recording or mobile phone recording of events, screenings, concerts or other programs by audience members is allowed without permission.
• There is no smoking permitted on PRS grounds.
• We strongly encourage guests to wear masks to PRS events to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
• PRS allows Service Animals into the facility under ADA and state guidelines. For further details please visit www.ADA.gov. No animals permitted whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support, under ADA guidelines and CA Health Code.
